A Movie Review by Olivia Gallo ~ Spirit - Stallion of the Cimarron

The title of the movie is Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron herd. The year that the movie came out was 2002.

Why are you writing about this movie
Because I got it for Christmas because my aunt lost the other one that my mom let her borrow it.
What makes you happy about it
I enjoy it because it’s the best movie. Spirit takes Rain to his homeland.
Why do you want to share this movie
I think everyone should enjoy this movie that came out in 2002. Why because everyone haven’t seen it because it’s the best movie about a horse. Who’s name is Spirit
Spirit is a horse and he runs with the other horses in the wild. He is the leader of his herd and he makes sure that the other horses are safe and sound. Spirit sees a campfire in the woods now but it turns out it’s the guys with the other horses but Spirit found out that he was taken away from his homeland now and he is taken to the riding school. It’s the part of the movie where he is captured by the bad guys who are not nice to him and takes Spirit to the riding school. He becomes a riding horse in the riding school but he refuses to be a riding horse.

He gives them trouble which leads them to tie him to the post for three days without food and water. He is sad because he’s far away from his homeland. While at the riding school Spirit meets a new horse who he befriends, Rain. She falls in love with Spirit. They go swimming in the water and hang out at the village. Spirit’s new friend gets the same punishment as Spirit. He was lonely before Rain came around.

Spirit and Rain continue dating before they go back to the village where Rain lives now but Spirit really wants to share his homeland with her so Spirit can be together with her forever. Spirit and Rain are reunited because Rain got fixed after she got shot by a bad guy. It’s a film with a cartoon. It ends on a happy note. That Spirit and Rain run free.

Spirit and Little Creek are happy because Spirit wasn't going to get captured again. This means that Spirit is going to be free for the rest of his life.

One of my favorite scenes in the movie is the “Leap Of Faith”, scene. I like this scene because Spirit leaps to the other cliff.

  1. Thanks for your movie review Olivia. I haven't seen Spirit, but after reading your blog, I am interested in it. I love horses and used to ride as a child. We have art in our home that features horses. My favorite piece shows a horse with an American flag and the artist called the work, "Spirit," just like the movie. Your writing made me picture just how strong and beautiful horses are. Thanks for the great descriptions.
