Playing drums makes me feel energetic, happy and special both inside and out. Learning to play the drums has helped me in lots of ways.  Not only do I have a better appreciation of lots of kinds of music but my social skills have gotten a lot better because being in a band means that you have to understand other people.   Music has been my link to the neurotypical community.  When I’m behind the kit, no one knows that I am different. It just turns into a smile and melts back into the cosmic music, the dance of life. ” Michael Jackson I became a true Michael Jackson fan when I saw the movie ’’Free Willy’’. At the very end of the movie Michael Jackson sings and dances to a very moving song entitled “There You Will Be.” I was so inspired by this song that I became a Michael Jackson fan for life. Depending on the song and it’s rhythm, It puts me in a certain mood. For example, the song “Beat It” makes me want to dance. Another song “I Can’t Stop Loving You’’ makes me feel very mellow and relaxed. I feel a peaceful and easy feeling. The song “Human Nature” brings joy and happiness to my life. At the moment, I am taking a Michael Jackson Art Therapy Class.
